Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
I will be receiving my first conceal carry pistol for Christmas this year. I currently live in Northampton county, but will be moving to Lehigh County the first of the new year. I cant seem to find any info on the process for Lehigh County. Northampton County has their application and instructions online. Should I wait until I move officially and file with Lehigh County or can I start the process now with Northampton County?

Re: Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
I too have found the process conspicuously absent on the Lehigh County web site. What does that tell you about Lehigh County? Sheriff Rossi is not 2nd amendment friendly. I guess all you would have to do is get a change of address. I guess you'd have to go the good sheriff's office and get a change of address.

Re: Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
I went to the sheriff office, filled out the form and paid twenty bucks. Nineteen calendar days later I had the license in the mail.

Re: Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
One page application to the sheriff of your current county.
20 bucks and issued within 45 days
That's it
Good for 5 years and changing your address is not required by law if you move
The LTCF is uniform throughout the state and is managed by state law. Every county should be following the same exact process

Re: Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
You are under no obligation to ever show your DL to an officer unless driving a car and stopped for a violation. No other circumstance warrants carrying or showing it
The LTCF is good everywhere in PA. The ONLY the requirement is to apply for your LTCF in the county where you reside. Moving voids nothing.
No reason to change the address IMHO

Re: Moving to Lehigh County LCTF Question
Just remember that you may not get your renewal notice if you move without notifying the Sheriff. The Post Office cannot always be trusted to forward your mail or you may have an expired forwarding notice.
Just be aware of your renewal date.
