I don't think we should have "slavery," but prisoners should be put to work to do "jobs that Americans aren't willing to do," as pro-illegal immigration politicians like to say.

slaves have jobs they just dont get paid there payment is what they get to live (food and water) from there owners

and seeing how prisoners are property of the state i say we bring back slavery to cut cost

cause they fucked up!!! It cost more to keep someone in a cage than it does to keep a person on welfare

yes i do! they would be feed and watered, there are already homeless people who will do work for a MTO and a 6 pack.

The idea is this? What is a prisoners motivation to work? Are you going do deny them food if they don? no, human rights people won't allow it, are you going to deny them shelter? can't do it. Are you going to beat them? Can't do it. It is the same with the people on welfare that are not working, what is their motivation? They already have no self esteem so it's not gonna be any self esteem issues that make them want to work.

I think part of the problem with homelessness is that we look at these PEOPLE like stray animals (comment on being "fed and watered" ) . They are HUMAN BEINGS, all with various reasons why they are where they are. We have no issue with the US dumping billions into another nation and not putting half that into helping our homeless people. They don't need food handouts, they need a CHANCE. Get them a job, give THEM some public assistance like welfare, unemployment so perhaps they can get back on their feet. Some of them don't want help they are content to live and die on the street because they have lost hope. We need to work on giving HOPE back to the HOPELESS

Sounds pretty communist to me. I don't see how anyone is going to get back on their feet if they are forced to work for nothing.

We've never abolished slavery.........
We call them "children" now........


Thats what most children call themselves.
