    Default Sig Sauer academy

Has anyone been to, or heard anything about any of the training courses offered by the Sig Sauer Academy? I'm thinking about taking a course this coming year, but thought I'd ask around here first.

    Thanks!

I had a chance to train with Bank Miller (then the director of the Sigarms Academy) back in the mid-90s at LETC in Utah (as did my wife at a later date - she really liked his class). Also took the Sig armorers course from George Harris (same time frame). I always planned to fly out to the Sig facility for a class (was living in WA state at the time) but never got around to it.

From what I have heard & read, it appears that they have a real good program running. I would not hesitate to train there at all.

I checked their class listings a couple of years ago and they offered a good variety of courses. Tried to get a friend to go with me but it fell through. (He now wants to go to the S&W Academy cuz he switched guns. )

If you go, definitely let us know about it.

Had a weekend to kill in Boston area for work so I hit the Sig Academy ( about an hour drive from Boston Logan Airport ) . Took their 1 day Pistol 102 ( basic ) pistol class. Instructors were great - It was a bit "basic" for me but the instructors moved along and made it interesting. They had about a 2 to 1 student instructor ratio day i was there. They supplied the guns/gear as part of the cost of the class ( I had to buy ammo ). Also they had a steel plate match going on the weekend I was their so I was able to shoot that as well.

All the folks were very friendly and the lady that is their training coordinator went out of her way to get me in a class and be sure i had what i needed to perform.

Plus when you're done you get a discount on a Sig pistol if you like

    I would go back again

    Jeff
