    Default Handgun Registration Question

    Hey guys i had a question about an old browning pistol from world war two that my grandfather took off a german soldier. my first question is it legal for me to possess. and second it went through a house fire a couple of years back and i wasnt sure if i could have it restored without it being confiscated or me getting in trouble. Thanks for any input guys could really use some help =)

    I think your in the wrong place to ask the question. However I will answer your question in this manner. PA doesn't have handgun registration. It does have a sales data base some LEOs use as a registration data base. I have a few handguns that are not in the pa data base because I bought them when I was a resident of another state.

    If your GF gave you the firearm while both PA residents or it was willed to you...

    It's yours

    Just have a LTCF if you plan to carry it

    Legal to possess... Yes! In Pennsylvania handguns may be transferred from parent to child and from grandparent to grandchild without need for going through a FFL.

    Take it to a qualified gunsmith and have it checked out/repaired if it's salvageable.

    got any pictures of it? i'd love to see it. it's a hi-power, right?
