Im James, new to the forum. I was doing some research online looking for some info and came across this site. Im interested in finding some info here. Thanks in advance for any info.

Here goes, 1994 convicted of a felony for sale and distribution of marijuana.
Did 4 months in county. When my current job did a background check in 3/2012, everything came back clean. Is this because time or because of the records keeping back then?

Since this was a non violent felony and also 18 yrs ago , do I have any chance of purchasing a gun? I was told from a gun shop in Montgomeryville,Pa that I could be arrested for attempting to buy a gun? I asked them if they could run a check for me...he said no, go to the montgomery county court house.

It could be a tough road. I think that most felony convictions will block you, especially one for controlled substances.

You may want to consult with an attorney.
