    Default I missed; I missed; I missed.......

    Sitting on my stand. Saw a pair of HUGE antlers bobbing up and down on the trail below. It was the biggest buck I have ever sen hunting. I have previously shot several my largest being a very mature 7 point. Most were "cantaloupe" 5 points.

    I did begin to get excited.

    Well, without the embarrassing details I BLEW the shot. I felt like throwing my rifle but I knew it was my fault.

    I am, of course, not getting the expected soothing, "Aw, that's OK" from my hunting buddies and friends.

    The guy at the hardware store tried. He said, "You at least REALLY scared him, right?"....What a nice guy.

    Tomorrow!

    Well, there is always tomorrow.

    Don't worry about your hunting buddies, that buck is telling his does what a bad shot you are. LOL

    I have never missed a shot at any large game in my entire life.















    Then again I have never taken a shot either.

    I'd rather have a clean miss then a bad hit any day
    The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

    Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

    Hey, at least you had a shot. A heavy 7 blew me off today... no show. On the trail cam with another nice 5-6pointer but neither showed. In fact, I thought it was a pretty quiet opener in general.
