    Default Pistol suppressor questions

    Greetings,

I have been looking at pistol suppressors recently, but have come up with some questions. My YHM 7.62 Titanium suppressor has an impact sift to the 6 o'clock position on most rifles and I was wondering if and how much of a shift there is on a pistol can? I was also wondering if it is worth getting it in 45 suppressor with the idea that it can be placed on anything that is smaller, or get a 9mm (host will most likely be a glock 17)?

    Thanks in advance
    Jake

Impact shift all depends on the machining of the threads to the bore in the suppressor and the threading of the barrel. Some have some and some have none.

I have a 45 Osprey suppressor and I can change out the pistons and shoot it on a 40 and 9mm.

How do you like the osprey? I've read good things, but also like first hand knowledge.

If you decide you want the versatility of the .45 can you will want the Osprey or the Ti-RANT. They are the top two .45 cans and are hearing safe dry. I have the Ti-RANT that I use on .45's and can also swap in a piston for 9mm. It's amazing on a .45 and pretty decent on a 9mm. If you really only want 9mm a dedicated can will be more efficient and hence more quiet. .45's are a bit quieter though as the 'standard' 230gn ammo is subsonic.

Oh I love it! Hearing safe even at an indoor range.

The offset design makes it easier to sight down the slide, plus it won't roll off the table when not mounted. LOL

I picked up extra pistons so I can use it on other guns and calibers. 1/2x28, 13.5L, 14.5, 16, plus the sleeve to block the booster movement.

Another great reason why the Ti-RANT is my favorite pistol can!

I've heard the Evo 9 from AAC is darn good also. Is it work the extra dime for the ti-rant?
