Allegheny Gun Works and Cerakote (Anybody use them before?)
Well,
The title said it all. I have an older Sig P226 I need refinished and settled on cerakote. Has anybody used these guys before and willing to post photos of their work?? Seems they are a couple of bucks more but it beats shipping a pistol across state.

Re: Allegheny Gun Works and Cerakote (Anybody use them before?)
I'm taking my XD down to them for a trigger job. I traded emails with Josh and he was very responsive and knowledgable. Also, their price was competitive. I'll let you know how it turns out but this sure beats shipping my XD to Oregon!
I think there is quite a bit of demand for a good gunsmith in WPA so I hope these guys do well.

Re: Allegheny Gun Works and Cerakote (Anybody use them before?)
Josh Rowe took about 4 days to do a trigger job on my XD 9 SC. I dropped it off on Monday and he told me to give him about 10 business days. 4 days later he called telling me it was done.
His work was superb. I had asked him to reduce the pretravel and set the pull to about 4 to 4.5 lbs. He reduced the pretravel (take up) by about half and a 5 shot average of the trigger pull was about 4.2lbs. Perfect. In addition, the reset is now fantastic.
I put about 50 rounds through it this evening and the gun is much more than I had hoped for.
I would not hesitate to recommend Josh.
And if you have a Beretta or an AR platform, he's the only guy to see.
