The Gunsmith is responsible for managing the gunsmith department and ensuring the safety and security of all firearms with in the department. This includes preparing all used firearms for display on the floor, repairing all customer firearms in a safe and timely manner. This includes warranty work which the company has executed agreements with and handling claims properly and timely to guarantee payment.

Responsibilities:
1. Service Standards: Exceed Expectations, Deliver Value and Develop relationships.



2. Teamwork: Arrive at work on time, establish and maintain productive working relationships, consistently set good example for others and complete work according to department needs and deadlines.



3. Driving Sales: Educate, inform and share knowledge with customers and other associates.



4. Job Knowledge:

Remain up-to-date and demonstrate working knowledge of the job - effectively utilizes internal processes, systems and technology and participates in training relevant to position.
Provide guidance of processes, priorities and expectations to associates
5. Adaptability/Flexibility: Demonstrate willingness to perform work outside assigned area adopting a whole store attitude, grasp instruction, learn quickly adapting to change and increase efforts when necessary to complete assignments



6. Gunsmith

Comply with OSHA regulations keeping a neat, orderly and clean work area.
Proper execution of paperwork and GSO/accountable for monthly inventory
Achieve sales and profit goals/ownership of expenses
7. Complete other duties as assigned and assist on the sales floor as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required
Successful completion of a certified Gunsmith training program
Years of Experience:

5+ years of experience in Gunsmith services.
Other Qualifications:

Outstanding knowledge of all types of firearms.
Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively maneuver in a Windows environment and through Microsoft Office products.
Able to communicate both verbally and written, clearly and concisely in English.
Must be 21 years old.
