    Thumbs up Montgo LTCF

To any new LTCF applicant, I got mine today. Went in, gave them my paperwork (yes police check card too), and was out in 15 minutes.

Kudos to the guys in the office.

I guess having that police check car prior really expedites the process

It would really expedite the process if Montco quit making applicants go thru this police check card thing

What was the process like/how long did it take to have the police check done?

There are several counties which offer service in-'n'-out in 15 minutes without the police check card. All it "expedites" is contempt for the rule of law.
I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.

Well, at least for Upper Merion PD it took mine a day. The guy said come in tomorrow, and i did, and i had it. I did not mind even if i waited cause it was still a week before my 21st when i had it done, but i would expect it would still take them just a day. I basically printed out the form from the county website, filled it out, and dropped it off at the UMPD

The general consensus ive heard is 2 weeks at the most, but it does depend who your local PD is.

    You can't even APPLY until you're 21

The police check card is irrelevant since it is an illegal requirement

    (b) Place of application.--An individual who is 21 years of age or older may apply to a sheriff for a license to carry a firearm concealed on or about his person or in a vehicle within this Commonwealth. If the applicant is a resident of this Commonwealth, he shall make application with the sheriff of the county in which he resides or, if a resident of a city of the first class, with the chief of police of that city.
