Looks good! My kit is still sitting in the box. What mag adapter did you use?

That's pretty damn awesome. I still hold out hope I'll come across one cheap enough to justify hacking it up.

Well, ever since I saw this one...

The actual bull pup kit on yours looks like its superior though.

We both must have gotten ours at the same time. I put mine together Monday.
I had stripped mine to nothing, removed barrel from receiver and pressed the grenade sight off and then cut barrel down to 17" on the lathe.
Didn't have time to thread it, but I chamfered and crowned it before I took it out.
Thing is freakin awesome balance and control. It feels like it weighs less than half what it use to. The weight is all at your shoulder instead of your extended arm holding the barrel up.

I'm going to Maine for thanksgiving and ill shoot it then.

I didn't wanna take anything off mine other then what was needed for the install. My sks is VERY clean and think it was never fired so didn't wanna hack it up to much if i had a beat up sks i might have went nuts. Would like to switch from wood stock to bull-pup from time to time. Only thing im mad about is the screw that got messed up had to use a dermal to cut the screw out. Wrote sg works told them my problem 4 days no answer so lets see hope they replace the parts needed with no problem which is a new screw left grip and front where the rail is.

    Just looks ugly now ugh.

I had hemmed and hawed about cutting my barrel.
But I got my sks with a hacked up fiberforce stock (guy had melted the forgrip to allow bayonet) and the grenade launcher was tried to be removed without the pin being pressed out.
The barrel bore is mint. Bright, shiny, crisp, sharp rifling. I had found a brand new barrel online (new unfinished, not used takeoff) and was making a new gasblock at work, then I said to heck with it, I'm never returning it to c&r spec, so I dismantled it completely to recondition it. Then it went into the bullpup stock.

Ill take it apart again after shooting it. Once winter sets in I won't shoot it. Then ill measure the receiver and draw it in cad, and make a new receiver and order the new barrel. Should be a fun project.

Issue on these, I had a jam in chamber, so I pulled on the handle, and jammed the stock onto the ground to shock it out. Not good for plastic cover, were pin goes throug. broke rigth off.
