Sporting Clays near Pittsburgh
Anyone know of a place to shoot sporting clays near Pittsburgh?
Thanks!
Also looking to join a club with rifle range, pistol range, nice too if it has trap, sporting clays.
I live in the North Hills, and somewhere within 1/2 hour or so would be ideal.

Lawrence County Sportsmen's Club in Wampum, PA is about 1 hour north of Pittsburgh. (Just a little more for me, I live in the South Hills)

I don't shoot sporting clays, but have been to the club for some IDPA matches in the past. Really nice facility.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

PMSC has both Trap and Skeet. It also has 50/10/200/300 yard rifle range, practical pistol bays, steel pistol bay, and indoor pistol range.
They are located east of the city. Stop up sometime on a Saturday (10AM) for a "open to the public" trap practice. This way you can check the club out and meet some members.
The nice thing about the club is that once you go through the clays orientation you get a key and can shoot trap and skeet anytime (9am-9pm) you want, by yourself or with guests (fee applies).
Both the trap and skeet fields are lighted for year round use.
Check them out here: http://www.pmsconline.com/Last edited by Hawk; November 15th, 2012 at 10:49 AM.

Re: Sporting Clays near Pittsburgh
I am a member at lawrence county. Just a great facility. They now have 4 traps on each of the 17 stations at the sporting clays facility. There are A/B traps for hard targets, and there are C/D traps for easier targets. I believe the cost is $30 per 100, and $20 for cart rental. Don't quote me on that as I am not sure if that is before or after the price change. The price is $20 per 100 for members. They also use a new key system shere you just have a little key, instead of carrying around the big keypad with the cord. Public hours during the winter are usually Saturday morning and sunday morning.
