I know this is an old thread, but has anyone been there recently ? I'm planning a trip there soon and wanted to see if their policy changed.

I was there last fall and there was no signs or security screenings. We tend to take the niece and nephew in the winter or if its raining cats and dogs in the summer so I doubt ill be back anytime soon.

I was down there a week ago, and saw no signs or metal detectors. I don't know if they would say anything about OC, but CC is... well... CC

I know this is an old thread, but thought I would post an update if anyone else found this thread via a web search

I visited the Carnegie Science Center on January 2, 2017. There are signs on the doors at the entrance "No Weapons or Firearms"

Was at both the Carnegie science center and natural history museum yesterday (2-16-19). Website says no weapons, but there is also no security screening.
