Yeah we drove from Philly to the gunshow and the line was wrapped around the building. We got there around 9:45 a.m. and bailed also. But the trip was not a waste as I made my first visit to Cabelas. Oh man if I only had more money on me. Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my. I was like a kid in a candy store. I can't wait to get back there.

    Anti-tank mines or anti-personnel mines????

Stupid tanks next door have been doing donuts all over the place and tearing up my lawn when I'm not home and i'm sick of it.

At 1 pm, straight in, about a 2 minute wait inside whilst a couple unloaded their carry weapons. A large amount of non-gun related materials, but very little in the way of "weapons with character" meaning non-plastic and shaped / machined metal. Ammo prices seemed a little to very high. Chatted with "Scotsguard" and looked at one of his P1's but elected to save my cash as the DA pull was "rather squishy"; often the case with Walthers but I have an older P38 that is nice to use, so gave up on the P1.

There did not seem to be too many sales going on judging by watching the number of 4473s being filled out. No obvious lines at tables to get to call in with forms in hand. Very little in the way of Lee-Enfields (a couple being carried around but their prices bore no relationship to sanity).

I overhead a few people trying to sell their guns to dealers but prices offered were low in the putative seller's estimation, but reasonable to my ears for some older revolvers etc. Looks as though people did not realize that a dealer will usually offer around 50-55% of what it "might" sell for as they have to lay out the cash and then hope to sell rapidly.

Why the "Convention Center" (a fancy name for old warehouses) cannot let the show have "salons" A & B rather than forcing everyone to walk to the end of the buildings, is beyond me, but evidently cheer-leading competitions have a higher profile!! Dave_n

I was out of town this week and not able to make it for the other days. I might be able to make it for Sunday, but not sure it is worth it to go on the very last day.

Any opinions? Are there still deals to be had on ammo and accessories?

    Thanks!

Made the drive from lake nockamixon area, got there around 11 and parked in the lot that was the furthest away.

Ammo prices were rather high I thought, but were more or less on par with current online prices. Overall, gun prices seemed higher than in the past. M91/30s from the crate were about $20-$30 higher than I remember them being.

Was tempted by a couple of AR's but unfortunately I really just don't have the money for another one right now, not unless I sell something.

Was interesting to see on shop selling a colt 6920 with magpul furniture for around $1100 give or take, while a guy in the other room was selling the same exact rifle for just under $1400.00.

In the end I just picked up a couple of magazines, beef jerky, some tannerite, and a cool little fire starter.

This afternoon in York, PA I was at a sporting goods store that said they could not get through to PICs all day. They said the line had been busy every time they called. This was around 2PM when I was there. Did buyers at the gun show experience any issues purchasing firearms?

(nevermind, I read in the MSM that there is a "gun show loophole" so I'm sure everyone was able to just walk out with anything they wanted) ... joking of course

Friday night the Pics time was running half hour. Today was worse. Busy, busy, busy. We put several aside for tommorrow. We'll see how that works out. I assume that it was volume related....
