What are some nice places to live which are also gun friendly?

I'm still doing research on various states reguarding laws, and also looking at individual cities for other places to live. Are there others here who have lived in other states which are acceptable?

Must be:
1) Gun friendly
2) plenty of land available
3) near a larger city so shipping and travel is in an acceptable price range

I've been looking more at the states which allow opencarry from the opencarry.org site, and also been reading the handgun laws site.

Anyone from Boise or Idaho here? :/ Whats your take on the state?

One other thing I thought about was population. Reading what goes on in places like Pittsburgh are interesting. Pennsylvania being a real pro-gun state, people get organized when their liberties are threatened. What are the experiences from some of you living in a not so populated city compared to a populated places like Pittsburgh or Phillie?
