Just bought a P228 for $460, Did I get a Deal??

Hey all,

Just picked this up on Gun Broker from a guy in Slippery Rock, PA for $460.

It comes with 3 magazines, a blackhawk paddle holster, 4 different color changable Hi-Viz sights, and a extra set of hogue grips.

What do you all think? Deal or No Deal??

$550 to $650 (more even if in perfect condition) seems to be the norm, so I'd say you did well, IMO.

That's the second great deal on a 228 I've seen recently. A guy just got one in the What did you buy today thread in Gun Pictures. Great buy. Out of curiosity how much was shipping and your receiving dealers fee?

No shipping. Going to do a FTF since he lives only 50 minutes away. I think the seller said his transfer fee is 10 buck??

I just missed out on getting a LNIB P239 on Gun Broker for $470. Box, 2 mags, papers and night sights. Was outbid by $5. Kinda sucks but that the way is goes.

I remember picking up a P226 (W Germany) back in 1992 for $500.00. And that was right after the Clinton Gun ban

So the deals are out there. Can't wait to take her to the range. Buy em now and lots of ammo since we screwed for the next 4 years.
