Ranges in York

Hi All,
I am looking for a range/ gun club close to York where myself and my girlfriend would be able to practice our skills. I have looked at freedom armory and its a little out of my price range. I do know there are many ranges in the area, anyone have any recommendations as to a good range/gun club?

I belong to Starview in East Manchester which is a great club. They have pistol, rifle, and skeet ranges, as well as sporting clays and a fish pond. I think there might still be a waiting list but it's worth the wait in my opinion. I think yearly dues are $60.

I'm about 10 minutes north of York City. But I don't mind traveling as long as its under 30 minutes.

There is always a waiting list, the question is how long it is. When I got on the list I got lucky and got in at the beginning of the next year. They take new members in January so I would recommend contacting the club and getting on the list. Someone will be along here shortly I'm sure that can give you contact info for the membership comittee. I will look and see if I have the info.

There currently is a waiting list for Starview Sportsmen. If you were to apply now, you would probably not come up for membership until Jan 2014.

York Riflemen in Hellam is also at full membership with a waiting list.

Anyone ever been to West Shore Sportsmen’s Association or Windsor fish and game?

I am a member of W.S.S.A. It is okay. Sometimes it might feel a little run down, not all new and fancy like Freedom. It works for us though. Dues are $70 for my family so what I save in dues over Freedom Armory I usually spend on ammo since I spend more time there.
