Ranges in York

The information I'm about to give you is a couple years old, but when I was a member we would often have unsponsored folks show up at meetings looking to join. The prospect would say a little about himself, someone would offer to sponsor them on the spot, it was all voted-on right then and there, and they were in.

There are a number of folks here who will sponsor you (I am no longer a member), but I just wanted to throw that out there in case no one responds to your request.

Thanks for the info, Just out of curiosity do you belong to any local ranges that you could recommend?

Well, yes and no. I belong to The York Riflemen range, but they are not accepting new members. If there are any openings they usually post them in the fall. I have been to Starview as a guest and that is a very nice range but I have no idea what their membership status is. Also in the area is the East Prospect Fish and Game. I have also been there as a guest and it is a very nice range/club.

York IWLA, located just east of Dallastown, easy access to rt83, open to new members. www.yorkiwla.org, and we shoot lots of stuff, www/yorkpistol.blogspot.com.

I'm looking for a nice person who will allow me to be a guest with them to the West Shore Sportsman Club. Please PM me. I am pretty sure I want to join there but would like to at least see the place. Also, any updates on how crowded it is? I can be there on some weekdays, evenings, and\or weekends. Thanks.
