Default 1200 to spend on new pistol

Hey just a quick question, and I know everyone is going to have different opinions on the matter, but I'm in the market for a new 9mm pistol. The criteria is a capacity of at least 15, 1200. or less, and full size. Right now I'm stuck between a sig mk25 and maybe a glock 17. I know they are two totally different manual of arms but Amy thoughts or suggestions on what anyone else likes or reccomends?

I love my Glock so far, and on your budget you'd have something like $600+ remaining for ammo.

I think the G17 was $500 or $550 at one of my local shops.

Thumbs up Re: 1200 to spend on new pistol

You have a sizable budget, so you can pretty much get what you want. What will be the intended purpose of your new 9mm? Personally, I've been very happy with my Walther PPQ for around $550. I picked one up back in March and have roughly 3000 rounds through it without a malfunction. I will put another 1200 rounds through it over the next four days during a few more training classes. I also have an XD9SC, P30, and a slew of other non 9mm handguns, and for me.. the PPQ works the best. With the left over cash in your budget you can buy pricey spare mags, and some ammo.

That said.. You can really go wrong with your choice of the Glock 17 or Sig. I guess it depends on what you already have, the intended purpose of this new gun. I also have an itch for an old HK p7m8 or the double stack p7m13. If i had $1200 that I had to drop on a 9mm, i would go that route.. or buy two more Walther PPQs.

    Well, 17, but otherwise agreed.

I shouldn't promote Glock too much as I haven't used anything else yet =)

G17 would be easy to maintain and trouble free so you could concentrate most on handling it well.

    n a

After 28 years the Glock 17 remains at the top Pistols of its class, there are more expensive Guns but not a more reliable and efficient Gun, just cant be beat, not a bad choice, i dont know what a MK25 is so i cant comment.

In traditional hammer fired Pistol the SIGpro series cannot be beat, either one will run you a little over $550, spend the rest of the money on extra mags and ammo, you do not need a $1200 Pistol to be competent or well armed

The 19/23/32 is small enough to conceal but yet big enough for everything else.

Glock 17 over the sig. Or two Glocks.

    Get a 17 and a 19.

Keep the 17 at home and carry the 19. Interchangable mags and ammo.

You could buy 3 Glocks lightly used here on PAFOA.

    two 19s and a 17.

Keep a 17 upstairs, a 19 downstairs and a 19 on you at all times.

You'd have to pony up more cash for ammo, but you'd have 3 Glocks.

I always sleep with my guns when you are gone
