Default LTCF for Orange County New York???

Can anyone tell me how I can obtain a LTCF for New York. When I go into area it would be nice be able to carry. I go into that county frequently, as well as camping to Saugerties, and visit friends in Dutchess couty as well. So any information would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the only legal way for you to carry in NY is to become a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) and carry under LEOSA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_Enf...ers_Safety_Act, which allows LEOs to carry concealed in any state. PA State Constables may also be included in this provision. I think there was some confusion on this point.

Don't go to the Orange County Mall or the Galleria. Go to the Stroud Mall instead.

    Yes,

As noted, you can carry if you are LEO, and truly unfairly to all NY people, you can carry if you have a NYC permit statewide, but NYS license holders dare not set foot in NYC.

    In addition:

    1) Either you have a business in NYC that qualifies you for a "Business Carry permit" or know a friend with a business who would help you get one. Good statewide.

2)You are a celebrity, politician, etc... and qualify for an unrestricted NYC Personal permit.Good statewide

3)You are a NYC business owner, who has a NYS full carry permit, and
One Police Plaza gives your state permit a business carry certification allowing carry within NYC. Good statewide

Perhaps the biggest load a poop ever to come down the pike. We can only hope the US SC rules in our favor, and the law suits bring them to their knees.

Here is a page for Edelmans permit service. Some good info

Sorry NY doesn't offer reciprocity...bunch of hard asses over here...You can legally come here for a club or range shoot....stupid rules that I had nothing to do with but feel as if I need to apologize anyway...I love Pennsylvania, don't hold the fact that I live in Orange County, NY against me....pa was too long a drive to work...

Sad, but true! New York is comprised of left wing bleeding heart liberals who believe in amnesty for illegal aliens, but not the right of the people to bare arms. I have an unrestricted, full carry permit that’s good anywhere in the state, except NYC. Ironically, there’s no other place in the state where you need bad guy repellant more than New York City. There, all the crack heads have guns, but law abiding citizens have effectively been disarmed. Perhaps if Mayor Bloomburg had relatives in Berlin in 1944, he’d have a clear understanding of the people’s right to bare arms.
