Residency for Philadelphia LTCF
I am going to be turning 21 in just a few months, and would like to obtain my Philadelphia LTCF. I am a student at a university in Philadelphia, and I am from Maryland. My official residency is in MD. My question is, will I be able to obtain a Philadelphia LTCF since I have an apartment in Philly? What exactly makes me a PA "resident"? There is no way I can get my MD CCW, so I want to get a PA resident LTCF. If I obtain my PA drivers license with my PA address, and can show utility bills from my Philly apartment, should this be enough? Will the issue even come up, so long as I have a PA address? Im not sure what exactly qualifies me as a PA resident, and I hope that having an address in PA is sufficient.
Also, as a side note, does anyone feel that being younger puts me at a disadvantage for obtaining my LTCF?

I would register to vote as well. The politics in PA (not Philly) are a lot better
Be safe.

Re: Residency for Philadelphia LTCF
You know with all the BS in Philly and your MD residency why not just apply for a FL non res?

Re: Residency for Philadelphia LTCF
I had considered that, but have heard that PA has recently stopped supporting FL non-resident permits. Is there any truth to that?
Also, i feel as though it will be much less of a hassle if I am stopped carrying in PA with a PA permit, as opposed to a FL permit. Just trying to think ahead... does anyone here have any experience with LE and an out of state permit??

I don't know for sure, but I would think you'd need to change your driver's license and vehicle registration to PA at a minimum.

Re: Residency for Philadelphia LTCF
Untrue. It was a gray area for a short time, but it has since been clarified, and I received in writing the PSP that they honor non res reciprocal states.
See here.

Let's be honest? Do you want to skirt the law a bit because the Pa LTCF is cheaper and easier? Or do you want to protect yourself? Non res Ut and FL are not a big deal. If you have no firearms training whatsoever no one on this forum is going to recommend you carry or even shoot a gun without training. So if all you want to do is protect yourself I recommend you move to Pa and feel the freedom or go for the non res. options.FUCK BIDEN
