Default Bestow "In Memoriam" title to "32 Magnum"?

Recently a long-time PAFOA user, 32 Magnum, who was an authority and historian on H&R firearms, passed away. He was nominated by a PAFOA staff member for a "In Memoriam" title.

As per our process for such:

    http://forum.pafoa.org/support-sugge...ml#post1227512

The staff as a whole approved the nomination, and now it moves to a public poll, which will be open for a week.

    So what say you?

Below is the message sent to me nominating him, for those that might not have known him:

    CR,

I have sad news again to report..

The world has lost another of the greatest minds in H&R Firearms history a couple weeks ago.

Jim Hauff, aka 32 Magnum, passed away. He, and Jim Ritchie who passed away this past spring, was probably the most knowledgeable person on the planet about H&R Firearms and their history back to 1871.

32 Magnum and I used to correspond with long email chains about his and my favorite line of guns. I knew he was having health problems, but didn't know the extent of things.

Anyways, I would like to nominate my friend for "In Memoriam".

    Here is his obituary:

Can we vote on the rule about voting on the title? Seriously I think it's both disrespectful and despicable. Anyone who is a member in good standing and has contributed to the site should be granted a memory. Otherwise it's nothing more than the politics of a popularity contest.

While Jim Hauff was my friend, he may have ticked off people who didn't voice their opinions in the threads that he posted in.

I believe the voting process is proper thing to have. Sure, you'll get some vindictive folks who will vote against just to be a butthead, but it allows for a democratic process for the members.

I used the lists he made about year of manufactor several times for h&r guns. I enjoyed reading his posts about them also. I vote yes. He definitly contributed to this site in a positive way.
