Question NRA Personal Protection in the Home: Tamaqua area?

I am looking for an NRA instructor who teaches PPIH.
I am looking on behalf of a friend who lives near Tamaqua.
    How much is the class?
    What range will you use?
Is there a pre-requesit to this class?

My friend has made expert for hand gun and rifle in the military but he has limited experience in the realm of personal protection as a civilian.

He may also wish to use his Glock for the class.

How much is the class? Depends on how much the instructor wants to charge. I have seen courses range from $100 to well over $250.

Is there a pre-requesit to this class? From the NRA website:
Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
There are also several instructors on this site (or that have had their courses reviewed on this site) that teach similar courses that are not through the NRA. I am one of them and will be conducting a Home Defensive Pistol course in the early spring of 2013. ([URL="http://www.magilltraining.com/CustomandDefensive.php[/URL])

That looks like a great class.
    I'll pass that along.
    Thank you.
