One of my friends picked up an XD40 not too long ago, and I have had the opportunity to shoot it quite a bit. Although I dont care for hammerless guns that much, it is a nice gun, and I like it. Pulls up nice, shoots well, and is accurate, and I like the sights. My only real complaint about it is that it is a little picky on ammo, although I think that polishing the feed ramps would probably eliminate that.

I've just picked one of these up over the weekend. With the hurricane screwing everything up I haven't been able to shoot it much. I did get to put 50rnds through her that day and I really love it. It is snappy but it's a 3.3" polymer .45acp so what do you expect. I am much anticipating a pinky extension for the 5rnd mags... the extended mag also gives it a much different feel.

Love the size and the ability to conceal. Will be EDC for me after some more range time.

Love mine! Have had zero issues, carries nicely, just a great gun overall. I like to carry owb and found the Walther pps holster fits perfect after a night of the gun wrapped in plastic wrap in holster ( got mine pretty cheap on ebay because it was mis-stamped with S&W )! Remember, need a solid / hard rack of the slide with this puppy more than most - if you don't, first round will hang up! Enjoy!

I put about 120-130 rounds of Winchester white box through it this past weekend and it ran flawless. It is a very snappy little pistol but i love it, you know you're shooting a .45acp. The checkered grips are a little aggresive but not bad. The fiber optic front sight is fantastic. The gun shot dead on right out of the case. I used to carry a Bersa .380 IWB but the XDs carries even better.....and its a .45! I have this pistol with me wherever i go. Great job Springfield Armory on a very nice, quality pistol!

i bet that the full size xdm 45 would have less kick.

The pistol weighs 21.5 ounces empty..... very light..... now with 6 (5+1) 230gr. rounds in it of course its a bit heavier. Its overall height is 4.4in. overall length 6.3in and its only 1in wide... very nice little pistol for concealed carry!

I put one on lawaway this past week. Bitone. Need to get rid of one of my other carry guns for funds to pick this one up. Probably going to give up the G29 and just buy all .45s from here on out.
