Default Corbett declares State of Emergency in advance of Hurricane Sandy

    link

Governor Tom Corbett Friday declared a statewide disaster emergency to enable state, county and municipal governments to respond effectively to the impact of Hurricane Sandy.

I guess this puts Section 6107 in effect.

I have my ltcf so its a non issue, but would this mean someone going out to do a little hunting tomorrow before the storm would need an ltcf to hunt?

Good question, though I will be spending tomorrow "hunting" for a backup sump pump.

Yes. Any Carry license that PA honors should be good even during an SOE.

This declaration should now be null and void since Sandy has been re-categorized as a tropical storm.

If only it worked that way. There is no clause that says "Proclamations are null when common sense indicates that the governor jumped the gun." It's over when the governor says it's over, or when it expires, whichever comes first.
