P415 by POF
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forums. I currently own a Ruger 10/22, but am looking to buy an AR15. I'm pretty green with guns, but am really impressed with the P415 by POF because of it's high reliability and low maintenance. The piston drive system is sweet. LWRC and HK (non-consumer) make a similar rifle, but there's something about the P415 that makes my loins tingle.
Anyway, I'm trying to wrap my head around the NFA, class 3 weapons, etc. Can someone advise me on what I need to do to own this gun. It's a semi-automated rifle and I'd get the 16" version.
From what I understand, I just need to get it shipped to an FFL and I'd be good to go? And I probably have to pay that $200 tax?
Thanks!

If it is semiautomatic with the appropriate barrel length then it is not class 3. There would be no tax stamp. Just get with your local FFL and see what he wants/needs to do the deal.

wow, thos rifles do look pretty awesome.
anyone got any experiance with them?
does the gas piston design take away from the inherent accuracy of the AR ?
I would think it would.

Re: P415 by POF
Hi Shawn. I'm not sure. I was hoping to find a local POF dealer to "play" with one. Here's some articles I found online about its accuracy:

Also, here's some videos of it in action:

the only thing negative i've read about POF is that it can be hard to get in contact with them and once you place an order it takes weeks and weeks to receive your rifle because of production time.
