    Default Sig 229/228

Are the Sig 229 and 228 identical in size? If I have a 229 holster would a 228 fit? Couldn't find much as the 228 is an older pistol.

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I just looked up the specs on both and they are identical in height/width/length. Thanks though guys.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Well to answer your question anyways, it depend on which models they are. Just the P229 alone has about 5 different slide/frame fits that won't fit certain P229 holsters. My P229 E2 has basically a .40 caliber P229R frame with a 9mm P228 slide...I still can't find a holster that it fits into nicely.

If you are looking to buy make sure they have a good return policy or better yet take your gun(unloaded of course) to a shop and "try on" some holsters.
