Default .22 Crickett bolt won't open

A friend of mine brought me his sons .22 Crickett hoping I could get the partially open bolt to open all the way, any suggestions?

Break Free CLP? I mean, is there a physical obstruction or just erosion or what?

Do this at you own risk!

Unlock the bolt (if it will go that far) and take a 2x4 and give the bolt handle a smack or two to the rear (open position).

There is no corroisn, it appears in almost new condition but the bolt is about 1/3 way open and will only slide back and forth a little but not close or open compleatly. I am no gunsmith but cause I sight in guys rifles for them he brought it to me.

It will open far enough to see the chamber and it is empty.

In addition to the Break Free CLP that I mentioned earlier, perhaps a rubber mallet.

Is the lock out pin jammed in? The lock was for only with the bolt open.
