Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
Someone told me that the Coal and Anthracite company is cracking down on people using their land, including use of the gun range on the Burma road.
Did anyone hear anything?

Re: Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
Keep me posted. I don't think they'd do anything about it. I did hear the story third hand, so it wasn't really reliable.

Re: Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
People have been saying stuff like that about riding up there for years now too and very rarely has anyone ever done anything about it outside of the active mining areas. I'd say the range is pretty safe. Who wants to confront a bunch of guys shooting with bad news anyway?

Re: Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
True story, some security guards stopped up and asked everyone there if they had permits to be on the land. Apparently these are the same permits that are required to ride dirt bikes and quads on this property.
The quad and dirt bike guys have moved further up the road towards Mahanoy City. All the land just out of St. Clair has been posted and apparently being enforced.

Re: Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
I am going up on Saturday the 19th....was there two weeks ago, place was packed and it was a Tuesday afternoon. Haven't heard anything myself, but they ARE clearing land on the other side of the road, I think for the landfill.
Full auto is still fine there as far as I know....Seneca, are you the guy that had a water cooled Vickers up there last year?"Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775

Re: Burma Road Range-Schuylkill
went up today and the weather was great! An older local was there and said that the range is still open and not to worry as the coal company would rather guys shoot in that one spot than bang away at their trucks and earth movers all around the mountain.
We had fun, shot a our full autos, picked up after ourselves and left the place without any of our garbage or debris. I really enjoy shooting there a couple times a year.
