^ one of these.
Ruger Super black hawk Hunter .44 magnum. 7 1/2" barrel, integral scope mounts and legendary strength on the Stainless steel action.
Its an awesome pistol, set up specifically for hunting.
Or if you prefer the double action, the Super Redhawk hunter in .44 magnum. also comes with the integral scope mounts.
Built on the GP100 frame, also has +10 ogre power on the action strength.Last edited by bigandy1966; October 23rd, 2012 at 07:40 AM.

I think the .454 Casull is pretty expensive ammo, and a .44 mag you can get .44 special rounds to practice with. just saying..

Re: best pistol for deer hunting
Go with a 44 magnum. Much less recoil than the 454 casull. Ammo is available and less expensive than the 454, and the deer is just as dead.

Re: best pistol for deer hunting
I dropped a large doe with my six inch .357 Magnum this year. I passed on a lot that were out of my self imposed yardage limit and then one walked right at me and turned broadside at about 15 yards.
