Re: Ruger LCP barrel cleaning
Try some 0000 steel wool with your favorite solvent or gun oil.

Use a good metal polish like Mothers or Jewelers Rouge.

Re: Ruger LCP barrel cleaning
Gun Polish, top brite, flitz, simichrome, mothers, all will work well. dont use brasso or chemical polishes, they are worthless.
use white compound with a buffer or dremel buffer. to get an amazing polish. And dont use steel wool i dont think its good for the metal.
While your at it you should do a polish job on your feed ramp so it will cycle like butter.
The most important thing is to keep it oiled and to keep it clean so it does not happen again. most polishes have some wax in them that will help to arrest the oxidization.Last edited by lourendo; October 22nd, 2012 at 12:27 PM.

Re: Ruger LCP barrel cleaning
The 0000 steel wool is probably less abrasive than many compounds. I use it all the time.
