A down economy does not mean you should have to lower your works pricing. More often than not, people tend to use the recession card to get a deal. If you can afford to cerakote a gun, then you 'should' be able to afford for quality work and or shop around on your own. But, hey, its your money!

The prices everyone here charge are very reasonable.Like posted before it takes alot of prep work before you can apply any color.I have a old winchester i have been working on for 2 weeks trying to get all of the oil out of the metal of the gun.I have to soak in acetone then bake then soak then bake and on and on.If anyone that does apply cerakote can give me any tips on that issue let me know.I have done alot of firearms but this one is kicking my butt.

What you're doing is pretty much what you have to do with older guns. The metal seems to have been more "porous"? and would really hold the oil. My dads' Model 94 (from 1948) has next to no bluing on it but I doubt that it would ever rust. I've not found any easier way yet.

    ^How Bout' It^

This is what it costs (and WHY, per Brian). Dont like it, go elsewhere and get a cheap, sub-par job.

Just because your wallet hurts doesnt mean some guy should lower his prices and profit. In turn, making his wallet hurt too.

Yup, P226 done by Brian/EFR in Graphite Black Cera

Sometimes you have to bake an item several times to get all the oil to come out and then degrease it again Ak's are like that. Certain firearms after initial degrease and media blast I degrease and then bake them 1 hour to ensure all oils come out ,then degrease again and then coat and bake. Certain types of firearms just take longer to do.
