Was just given two guns. What do I have here? Marlin model 18 and a Benjamin .22 carb
Helped the fiances uncle move today and at the end of the day he gave me two rifles. I didn't expect it at all. No pics yet but I will update with some ASAP. Both have great wood and some surface rust/ dust on them. One is marked "Marlin no. 18" with a non octagonal barrel but no caliber markings, and the other "Benjamin .22 carbine". They both are in great mechanical condition and the bores look good as well.
Can anyone tell me about these guns?
Thanks a ton guys!Emergency Medicine prevents natural selection

This link from Google books has a bit of information about your #18. It's over a century old.
The Benjamin is pretty likely an air-gun.

^ thank you sir!
After closer inspection, it looks like I will be on the hunt for a new 100 year old firing pin. :/
