    Default Looking for a gun

My friend is interested in purchasing a handgun soon, but he is absolutely in love with bersa 380/ppk/cz83 style guns, but he wants a 9mm.....anyone have any suggestions? I can't think of any in that style that are 9mm.

Those guns you speak of only come in .380, .32 ACP, and .22 LR. I cannot think of one gun that looks like the one's you talk about. If Bersa made a Thunder 9 mm that looked exactly like the Thunder .380, it is all I would own. It is a super cool gun to look at and it is a good quality gun, as well. The Sig P232 is in that "looks" range, as well, but is a .380, too.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

The SIG P239 might be worth a look. Not much bigger than those other guns. It's a single stack 9mm. Real nice, but a lot more expensive than those others.

As 300WM said, they don't come in 9mm, at least I don't remember one. The Walther and Bersa are nice little guns, the CZ is a little bigger, but still nice.
Have him look at the little Ruger in 9MM. It's slimer than most and a better gun than others.
Some of the other compacts are just smaller versions of the full size ones. The Glock 17 and 19 and EAA standard and Compact come to mind. Neither is bad and carry nice, just not a lot slimer.

    CZ 82 is 9x18.
    CZ 83 is 9x17.

They are both 9mm just not 9x19.

    I'd get a CZ 82. $200ish.

The 83 is discontinued for 2013.
I'd get one in satin nickel while you can.

Is the 9mm Makarov the same as 9x17, 9x18 and all the same as 380? I have a bunch of 380 ammo in search of a gun. They are all good enough for me.
