choke help
I have a moosberg 535 tactical 12 gauge smooth bore no choke. Me and a friend went to a block shoot last weekend and needless to say the pattern was very wide . I know nothing about chokes other then they help keep the pattern tight . What would i need to do to to put a choke on this shotgun .
I have no idea how far away the targets were but if i had to guess id say atleast 50 yards

Re: choke help
Depending on barrel thickness, it's quite common to have a smith thread the barrel to accept chokes.

Re: choke help
You can get the barrel threaded or you can buy a new barrel already threaded. Price should be close either which way you go. A new barrel will be more expensive, but changing barrels takes all of 2 minutes... lol General shooting means you usually want a longer barrel anyways...
