Overlapping Remington MIRs and Dick's Sports Deal

Figured I'd share info on these deals in case anyone else is planning a birthday or Christmas purchase for themselves or the special shooting buddy in their life. I priced out a new 12ga Remi 11-87 semi shotty Dick's normally sells for $649 to net out at $480 (+5 PICS and +tax). Here are the details...

Dick's has the Remington 11-87 (syn or wood) on sale for 574.99 today (Oct 7th) thru Oct 27th.

Dick's is also running a Gift Card promo - get a $20 card on purchases $200-499.99; $50 on $500 and up. [ Must be postmarked by 11/24/2012! ]

There is a Fall Remington MIR deal on various long guns and ammo purchased thru the end of the calendar year - info at http://www.remington.com/pages/news-...12-Rebate.aspx . The rebate on the 11-87 is $75. [ Must be postmarked by Jan 12, 2013! ]

$575 - 20 - 75 = $480

The manager mentioned that you can get an additional 10% off by applying for a Dick's credit card if you are so inclined and don't have one.

I don't work for Dick's or Remington - just sharing what sounds like a great deal.

If it is a $50 gift card for purchases over $500, then that makes the gun $450, not $480.

as i posted in another thread, i took advantage of this deal last friday and am completely satisfied. dont forget that opening a score card (like a perks card, free and not a credit card) gets you 10 in store dollars for every 300 spent as well!
