Sounds like something my wife would say. Last time she put appearance ahead of practicallity we had to buy the Nissan Altima over a Toyota because the Toyota was "ugly". Needless to say, that "pretty" Altima has cost us THOUSANDS more in repairs over that "butt-ugly" but practical Toyota.

That sucks...we aren't in the warp drive stage yet, but, no car should cost us $$$ to keep running right. I have a golf cart that has a Yamaha engine in it. It is 12 yrs old. It starts every time you hit the gas pedal. Go figure.

Next time look at a CPO BMW. The price is usually less then a new Toyota or Nissan and the warranty is great. Just had my 1st major service (@47K) and a few annoyance items taken care of.

Didn't cost me a cent!
