His condition has to stabilize before he can be added to a transplant waiting list. He is reportedly in bad financial state from the medical bills which are piling up and this is causing him stress. This financial stress is making it harder for his condition to stabilize. It's a bit of a catch-22, honestly.

of note:
*A freind needed a transplant an was told it is unethical to canvass or ask for donors.
*Livers are the only organ you can donate a part away and yours will grow back.
(kidneys you give one away and live with one)

I've only met him once, but I do know that he does a LOT for us all and I've seen him making a stand for the second amendment on television news interviews many a time over the years - long before I knew "who he was".

Certainly a worthwhile cause, and anyone who participates on PAFOA has personally benefited from the work that Kim and a few others have done, quietly, behind the scenes, year after year.
