Buying a Used Ruger Mark II and I Need a Price
Hey Guys, so I was talking to a customer recently and he told me he was in the market to sell his LNIB Ruger Mark II Stainless Slab side Competition Target Model 22LR. It was shot on two occasions and professionally cleaned both times. Anybody have an idea of a price I could suggest to him?

Bluebook says $350 for 98%, $300 for 95%.
I've seen Mark III comptetion's brand new for $470.

He said "It was shot on two occasions and professionally cleaned both times." But you don't know this. With carring case and manuals, start with an offer of $275 and work up to $325.
It is a MK II.

Agree with BobWV. I have two of these and they are excellent. Professional cleaning after two "range shoots"? The normal stripping procedure takes the pistol into the following components. Barrel, slide, recoil spring, the mainspring housing and the lower frame. You can also remove the firing pin. Aside from this, no further stripping is performed unless you are replacing the trigger or sear. So "professional cleaning" raises an eyebrow or two in my case. Dave_n

Re: Buying a Used Ruger Mark II and I Need a Price
I hate the phrase " Like new in box" because if it was new it would say "New". Although the current owner says it was shot on two occassions, and cleaned twice by a professional. How many rounds went through it?? and what is the owners definetion of professional? I personally would be willing to pay around $300.00 to $350.00. And when it comes down to it its used gun.
