    Default Security at Beaver Stadium?

The wife and I are touring Beaver Stadium this weekend as part of the family weekend at Penn State. What's the norm for security at Beaver Stadium during games, metal detectors? wands? pat downs? Thanks.

We are required to do a security check the same as they do for football game days. All bags will be checked. The following items are prohibited from Beaver Stadium: ◦ Alcoholic beverages
    ◦ Containers including cans, bottles, or coolers
    ◦ Food (unless medically necessary)
    ◦ Bags larger than 8 ½” x 11”
    ◦ Backpacks
    ◦ Umbrellas
    ◦ Weapons or fireworks
    ◦ Objects that may become missiles
    ◦ Video cameras
    ◦ Noisemakers (bells, whistles, sirens)
    ◦ Poles, sticks (unless medically necessary)
    ◦ Banners
    ◦ Bicycles

Firearms are not allowed anywhere on campus.

I'll add that last game I was at they patted me down, checked my fanny pack. While not wanding me I think they had some wands. Maybe to check people that "failed" the pat down?

I would not chance trying to take a firearm in. The campus police generally will be more aggressive than just issuing a warning. I was told to not have firearms in my vehicle when picking my son up on campus to go hunting.

No firearms on campus is a policy thing, not a law. For students, I guess they face expulsion. For non-students, they will probably be told to leave.

Been to numerous PSU games over the years, never once saw anyone get patted down. I went to the first game this year with my son who came up from Florida.

As to whether or not I have carried each and every time I visited my kids when they went to PSU, moved them in and out of their dorms and went to PSU games, well.........

Exactly, its the policy of Penn State to have no firearms, just think of it as a big business. Students would be expelled.
