Anyway, the OP understands that he doesn't need an LTCF to purchase, but he wants to get one. I agree it's a good idea. If you really feel like arguing against that, whatever.

east side of allentown here... almost on the bethlehem border... only one question.... WHY ALLENTOWN!!! hahahah and to elaborate a little more on an earlier post... not only can you buy a rifle with a 30 round mag, but you can do so right on the street... no need to buy long guns at a FFL.... i would however suggest that you know the seller.... just incase the possibility that the gun is stolen or something else along those lines..
welcome to the forum and to the area!!

Get the LTCF. While PA has much reasonable firearm laws there's quite a bit of gray area if you don't have one. Even moreso now with the state of emergency.

I think a LTCF is a great idea. I think putting off a handgun purchase 45 days until you get a LTCF makes no sense at all, and can't be considered a good idea by any measure.

You will soon be out of the Peoples Republic of New York. You are actually allowed to own a firearm in PA. And you don't have to jump thru any real hoops (other than that stupid PICS check).

Now wait, it is about to really get exciting.

You can not only own a pistol, or even a bunch of pistols. But you can carry one openly without any permit. You can carry concealed with a LTCF that is usually pretty easy to obtain.

OH WAIT.... It gets even better....

You can buy a rifle, and get this.... one with a 30 round magazine and then you can customize it to suit you any way you want.

Your going to love it here.
You should at least mention transporting the weapon in a vehicle ,without a LTCF, on you side is illegal. The firearm and ammo must be in seperate un reachable areas of eachother.
