Buckle-less belts (or other options)??
Hey guys,
I recently got a Bullhide Belt. It is awesomely stiff and looks sharp! My only problem is that I am often in between holes. I carry IWB with a Supertuck or OWB with a paddle holster (for my M&P 9c)....or a simply rugged sourdough for my GP100. Problem is that I am too loose on one hole of the belt (ie having to hike the pants up) or too tight on the next hole (uncomfortable to the point of others noticing). I am wondering if maybe a buckle-less belt would be any better? I had thought about a nylon belt with an adjustable buckle (pull through and tighten up when it's to your liking), but I often carry where I am more dressed up than a nylon belt.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I like the bullhide, it just isn't exactly working out for my frame at this point in time.
Thanks,
MicahMale RN

Get a hole punched where you need it? Or, eat more ice cream

I know on beltman belts they make 5 or 7 holes. I'm sure some other companies make something like this also.

Don't know if by "buckle less" you mean no buckle on the belt what so ever, or just no traditional style leather belt buckle.
with that said.
Ares Gear makes pretty much highest quality nylon belts on the market also the stiffest(their motto is "stiffer is better"). They also come in colors that will blend with the dressed up style.
Their website does not really show the color options, but their facebook page does. Don't think you need a sign it to see them.
Downside, they do have a 4 week lead time. Each belt is handmade to order, however it only took mine 18 days, so you may luck up and get it sooner like in my case.Last edited by coppery; September 19th, 2012 at 12:59 AM.

Re: Buckle-less belts (or other options)??
I'm 6'1", 180 lbs, so there's not a lot of "padding" on my hips & I had the same problem with belt fit. I bought two Wilderness Tactical belts, a tan one & a black, that I've been wearing every day for about 4 years now & I love them.
As far as appearance goes, I look at it this way: If I'm someplace where they're not "dressy" enough, then I don't belong there in the first place."It's hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."

Re: Buckle-less belts (or other options)??
To clarify...I am referring to a belt without the traditional buckle. The differences between the holes doesn't work for me. As far as punching another hole, I am not slicing a hole in a belt that I paid $70 for...just my opinion.
To ironbutt...that's where I am. I go about 6' and 175-180lb. There is 0 padding on the front of my hips.
I see that bullhide makes a velcro-belt that looks very nice, and Rob from Simply Rugged said he could make me one.
Anyone have any experience with the velcro leather belts?Male RN

After doing a bit more research, I am looking into a wilderness or Ares Gear. Still trying to decide which looks more dressy...
