If you had to chose a handgun just based on reliability what would it be?
If you had to pick a handgun just based on reliability what would it be? Price is no object in this question and why would you pick it?

Re: If you had to chose a handgun just based on reliability what would it be?
It would have to be a .45 for me. The HK 45 and the HK USP have a reliability rep that is way at the top for a .45. I would choose the HK 45 over the USP because the grip is superior to the USP, and the gun is one of the best shooting 45's on the planet. I own a USP, but would rather have the 45.
In the 1911 realm, it would be a WC full size.BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

It's hard to beat the goverment model 1911, but a good all steel revolver would be more reliable. If it does not go bang, it is most likely bad ammo.

Walther PP-something. Made in Germany. We only lost that war because everyone else ganged up against us. 1:1 you all would have been sitting ducks, fucked from behind and not even seen it coming.

A Ruger revolver be it a Security Six, GP100, Redhawk, Blackhawk or Super Blackhawk. All are built like tanks and can take just about the hottest loads you can make. I have never had any of mine fail for any reason.

first would be a glock 19 or 23. second would be 1911 full size or commander size. third would be a s&w or colt 357 with 4" barrel, prefer large frame. imo any of the above would fit your criteria.
