I never met him, but always appreciated his input.

JayBell could be a cantankerous, stubborn, Independent spirit & a SOB when required, like most gun owners are, which was all part of his charm.

with that aside

JayBell was VERY knowledgeable on NFA items and usually very helpful to anyone seeking wisdom or advice from him on firearms

I forwarded info he provided to one of my friends who was researching and now has several NFA items.

Still in shock and he is missed.

Lots of respect here -- Jason was a highly competent subject matter expert in a number of firearms related topics, I valued his posts. PAFOA has suffered a substantial loss.

I'm new here - just found the site via a friend who posted a link here about Jay's passing.

Condolences to his family and friends.

I met Jay some 10 years ago at a couple of informal shoots in PA. I've got a video of him shooting his 1919 - I don't remember if I took it or someone emailed it to me, no matter.

I posted a link to it on my fairly new board in the Club House.
