Godshall, save the King.

There was question as to the actual intent and support of the constitution by a certain Rep. Godshall in the Constitutional Carry thread. Here is Godshall on what it means not to question the right to bear arms:

"Thank you, Mr. Speaker. This amendment contains HB 1878, and a compromise was worked out . . . This amendment is reform legislation. . . . If, after an investigation not to exceed 45 days, an applicant for a license is not disqualified by any of the criteria set forth in the law, a license shall be issued pursuant to Article I, section 21, of the Pennsylvania Constitution."

There is no such thing as a license issued pursuant to Art. I, Sec. 21 because the very notion questions the right to bear arms. Any compromise relegates what was a right to a mere allowance sufferable to whims of a parliament or a king. What the hell is it that these people do not understand about Pa. Const. art. I, secs. 1, 21, and 25? If they didn't know it the first time, they got told a second time. If it didn't click then, they get told a third time. What does it take?

To paraphrase a golden nugget --- "There is none so DEAF as those who REFUSE TO HEAR" ....

It's not a matter of understanding but rather a matter of accepting that THE PEOPLE RIGHTLY HOLD ALL THE POWER and ONLY GRANT LIMITED POWERS TO THE GOVERNMENT..... They DO understand but refuse to accept our Constitutional Guarantees....

For those who DO NOT LOVE THE CONSTITUTION, there is no education that will make their service acceptable.... They must go....
