Township LEO rang my doorbell
This morning my doorbell rang, I answered the door to a young female officer who wanted to tell me about a possibly sick groundhog that was in the street and then ran in my bushes. She wanted me to come outside to show me where the groundhog went, I said ok and I am carrying, she asked if I was on the job because she always saw me carrying ( I live on a very busy corner ). I said no I work for **** armored truck co. oh she said she did too. So I go outside with her and there is another officer staring at the bushes. So I asked if I could shoot the groundhog they said no, they only use beanbag rounds on them. Nothing else was said about me carrying.

Re: Township LEO rang my doorbell
IMO ya gotta exterminate the groundhog., or have it done professionally. Especially if there is a strong possibility of it having a confrontation with kids and/or pets. From your post, it seems obvious that there are occupied residences or buildings within the 150 yards that makes it non-shootable from a pre-meditated stance.
Hopefully you are not forced to shoot it during a confrontation, since the LEO already know about it and took no action other than to notify you. Did they say anything about contacting an animal control agency?
I have encountered some surprising aggressive sickly grounddhogs in the past.
Compound bow? Crossbow? Spear? Exterminator, or whatever seems practical.
Also, since the next most obvious question from many posters on here will be something that I would not usually ask. So I might as well try to be the first to ask:

Was she HOT??
Actually yes she was. There is something about a young woman in uniform, packing of course. If I do shoot the groundhog I hope she is the one to arrest me.
