Default Anyone jump on an XDs .45 yet?

I was bored today and made my way to cabelas to kill some time. I got my hands on an XDs and I gotta say, it really is pretty slim. I like how it feels. If you own one, how do you like it so far?

what was their price? i have seen those things for close to $600. a little steep for an XD in my opinion.

It was $599 there so it's probably about $50 cheaper in most other places. Pricey but it's a little pocket rocket. Nice and slim.

Paid 519$ for mine about 2 months ago.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

i have one. I had an lC9 (now for sale) and was happy untill i saw and held an XDS. I paid 600 for the two tone version after a little looking around. i have had no issues with it at all since day 1. I really like the red fiber front sight as it seriously draws your eye right to where your focus should be. The xds does work well in a pocket but it does tend to print a little more than some other guns. i have a nemesis pocket holster for it which works great.

I was finally able to fondle one at my local shop and have to say that it is indeed very nice. I did a size comparison with my Glock 27 and was happy to see that it is roughly the same size. The XDs has a longer grip but it more than makes up for that by being considerably thinner. It is definitely something I would like to have but I think I will wait out the initial rush.
Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.

Love mine - great gun, zero issues. Do a search, there have been a few threads with a lot of info on them here. Avg price now seems to be 529-549. You won't be disappointed if you get one!
