RCBS model 1010 vs Redding Model 2
ugh...after almost finishing a lengthy post on a scale comparison I just did, my browser crashed and wiped out all my text...Here is a condensed version. Compared a new Redding model 2 scale to a mid 80's RCBS 1010, using a penny and a 1 gram brass weight..
Each was weighed 5 times..each scale was zeroed before each sequence of 5 weighs. Ideally I would have zeroed between each individual weigh, but I didn't have the patience for that. weights listed are in grains.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...1E&output=html
For reference, a penny weighs 2.5 grams (39.4 grains). 1 gram = 15.4 grains.
The RCBS is older. I bought it back in 1985, so I am not too surprised by the fluctuations in weight I saw for the penny..
EDIT: Sorry, formatting is all screwed up...I'll try to come back and fix it later.Last edited by glocke12; September 3rd, 2012 at 10:12 AM.
