Glock's aren't ugly at all IMO. They are boring. Like, cardboard. But in that utilitarianism they are very LIGHT. Lighter than most full size pistols by OUNCES. They still boast a longer barrel per size of the gun than most manufacturers and you get zippy polygonal rifling. Easy break down, reliability, and a fair amount of accuracy. It may not be the "best" at anything in particular. But all Glock's are greater than the sum of their parts. Their looks are very ho-hum. But in that ho-hum, is a well designed TOOL. Nope, it ain't something I'd consider collecting. Albeit, you may find after a while... that because of how they work... you end up with more of them.

Love it or hate it. They work. And they work damn well.

Sorry Mity, I think you and I seem to have the same taste in guns and share a lot of similar opinions about our 1911s. You're probably going to love the Glock when all is done. You will probably buy more Glocks. Good luck. Be strong.

I've always liked them and never found them ugly. I like plain and simple, and am actually quite fond of their look. Its funny how you hear so many people go on n' on about all the KISS shit with rifles but Glocks have gotta be the KISSiest pistols there are, yet theyre bashed the most.

I have a 19, like just about anyone else who owns firearms.. But I never shoot the damn thing. I did at first but it fell the wayside after I got some other stuff. To be perfectly honest, its the old lady's. I consider it ours though. Point of all this is, we were at the range a few weeks ago and I put a couple mags through a buddies and was reminded what all the hype is about. The trigger is pretty decent, the reset is amazing, the capacity is awesome, 15, 17, 33, take your pick, the size is damn near perfect, not too big, not to small, and pretty easily concealed.

They are great all around weapons and I should start spending a little more time with mine, I mean the wifes

I just LOVE 1911's.
I love its history, I love the tight fit between slide and frame, I love the cold steel frame, I love the weight, how it fits my hand, the power and athoritative bark of .45ACP, the recoils, and after 100years, it is infact, still eveolving. There aren't many things 1911 can't do.

But these damn Glocks... With their fit thats about tight as my first girlfiend, it rattles, grip angle is all off, trigger is mushy, and ugry black, no nonesense loo, it shoots well, and reasonably accurate. Once I figured out the reset of the trigger and sight(which my POI is 12o'clock at 7 yards), I was shooting 4" group from 12 yard all day with rapid firing, and if I chose to take my time and aim the gun, I could shoot much tighter group, mild recoils, and the damn thing works!

There aren't much not to like this stupid gun
