FNH 5.7
I was wondering if anyone has the above gun? Are you happy with it?
I was looking for another 9mm to add to my collection.
Thanks in advance

Re: FNH 5.7
Are you saying that you consider the FN 5.7 to be "another 9mm"?
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: FNH 5.7
If you did a forum search you'd see two HUGE FN Five SeveN threads. With ballistic tests, gel tests, tests vs IIIA armor, a ballistics report from brassfetcher, and tons of pictures.

Re: FNH 5.7
OP do you mean a FN9 or FN 5.7?
I think that is basis of this thread.
Good thread^ But relax with the "If you did a forum search" , instead try "There is 2 great threads on here" or something like that.
Platforms and perceptions change. Sometimes people just want to discuss future or recent purchases. Just because your thread is a great resource for the 5.7 that doesn't mean it is the be all end all for 5.7 discussion.
Sorry Val but that's a pet peeve of mine. Like when 2 or 3 guys chase all the newbs away because they had the nerve to ask "AK or AR".We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.-Benjamin Franklin

Re: FNH 5.7
It's irksome when i put all the info in a thread that is huge and easy to find with search and people dont even bother to try a forum search before posting and asking the exact same questions I and others have already answered in depth over and over.
If you're new to a forum and the gun you're asking about isn't, guess what....It's already been discussed. Forum search is your friend.Last edited by Valorius; August 30th, 2012 at 03:30 PM.

Re: FNH 5.7
If you type in FN 5.7 you get Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
"FN 5.7" Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
"FN 57" Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
FN 57 Gets you 119 hits yet not one is your post
If you don't like seeing the FN being discussed over and over again ignore the topic. Or be a cool guy and post your thread. This is a discussion forum.
BTW the way do you still have yours?
It is an intriguing pistol and I wouldn't mind owning one but the price, size and cost of ammo keeps me away.We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.-Benjamin Franklin

Re: FNH 5.7
I think it is the numbers that make the search garbage when IB changed it a few years back. Try Ruger 10/22 or AK-47.
On topic check out Val's post for some good info.
I'm sure other 5.7 owners will be along to give their impressions.

Re: FNH 5.7
I like the 22 TCM.
Rock Island Armory makes the 1911 9mm/22tcm pistol. Comes with barrels and links for both calibers for under $600.

Rock Island Armory .22 TCM 1911 Pistol
Samples of this pistol and ammunition combination have been kicking around since this summer, but now Rock Island Armory is ready to put this pistol into shooters’ hands. The Armscor .22 TCM cartridge is based on the 9 mm Luger, necked down to accept .223 caliber bullets. Loaded with a 40-grain jacketed hollow point, this round can achieve velocities of 2,100 fps from Rock Island’s full-size 1911 platform. The pistol is designed to accept double-stack magazines, and 9 mm conversion barrels will be available.Hold the Line...
